What is a domain?

A: A domain is an (usually) easy-to-remember address for people to access a website.

Where is my domain registered?

A: There are many different companies you can register your domain through. Some of the most common are: GoDaddy, Bluehost, Namecheap, and Dreamhost. This is only a small example and there are many more out there. If you are not sure where your domain is registered select the I'm not sure option below and we can help you locate it.

What are DNS records?

DNS records are instructions that provide information about a domain including what IP address is associated with that domain and how to handle requests for that domain. When launching your website we will have to update the IP Address to point to our server.

What is an IP Address?

An IP address is an identifier for any computer that's connected to the internet. Our server is technically a computer, so this computer will have an address that identifies it's location on the internet and directs users there. IP addresses are typically associated with the A Record of your DNS Record.
